Frequently asked
Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know before you share your QR code with the whole baraat.
For your guests
Do my guests need to download an app?
No. Guests simply scan your event's QR code or tap your link, and the camera and gallery open right in their phone's browser. Nothing to install — it works on every smartphone, Android or iPhone.
Do guests have to sign up or log in?
Never. There are no accounts and no passwords for guests. They can start uploading the moment they scan the code, so even your relatives who aren't tech-savvy can join in seconds.
What can guests upload?
Photos and videos — as many as they like, all at once. They can pick from their gallery or shoot a fresh photo straight from the camera. Perfect for capturing candids from the mandap, the dance floor, or the buffet.
Will it work on a slow 4G or patchy venue network?
Yes. Uploads are designed for real Indian venues — banquet halls, farmhouses and resorts where the signal isn't always strong. If a direct upload struggles, Eventframe automatically retries through a backup route so photos still get through.
Can guests add their names?
Optionally, yes. Guests can type their name once and it stays with their uploads, so you always know who shared which memory. It's never required, though.
For hosts
Can I use one QR code for a multi-day wedding?
Absolutely. Many couples use a single event and QR code across all the functions — roka, mehndi, haldi, sangeet, the pheras and the reception — so everything lands in one shared gallery. Or you can create a separate event for each function if you prefer.
Can I control what shows up in the gallery?
Yes. Turn on moderation and every upload waits for your approval before guests can see it. You can approve, reject or remove anything at any time — so the gallery always stays tasteful.
Can I download all the photos and videos?
Whenever you like. With one click you get every memory in full resolution as a single download — yours to keep and share forever.
Is my event private?
Yes. Your gallery is only reachable by people who have your link or QR code. It isn't listed anywhere and won't show up in search results.
How long are the photos available?
Your gallery stays live throughout your celebration and well afterwards so everyone has time to browse and download. We always recommend doing a bulk download once the event wraps up to keep your own copy safe. Need long-term hosting for a business? See our business plans.
Is it free to try?
You can create an event and see exactly how it works before your big day. For high-volume use — photographers, planners and venues running many events — we offer business plans priced for the Indian market.
